Who we are
Fiscalbook is operated by Emanuel Borg, Malta. It provides fundraising, pledge and financial reporting tools to organisations ("companies") that have an agreement with us. This policy covers the website at fiscalbook.com and the Fiscalbook mobile app for iOS and Android.

Accounts
There is no self-service sign-up. Accounts are created by a company administrator for the people who work with that company's data. To sign in we process your name, email address, a hashed password and, if enabled, a two-factor authentication secret.
The mobile app signs in with the same account and stores an access token in the device's secure keychain (iOS) or keystore (Android). Signing out, or an administrator disabling the account, revokes the token.
What data the service holds
- Fundraising data entered or synced by a company: donation totals per channel, event details, pledges (name, contact details, address, amount and collection status of a pledge), receipt books and phone-line totals.
- Accounting data a company connects from Zoho Books: invoices, bills, payments and general-ledger balances used for its profit-and-loss reports.
- Usage records needed to run the service: server logs with IP address, timestamps and the pages or API endpoints requested, kept for security and troubleshooting.
Each company only sees its own data. Fiscalbook staff access company data only to provide support or maintain the service.
What the mobile app does on your device
- Reads and writes the data described above through an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to fiscalbook.com.
- Stores your access token and a few preferences (selected company, chosen date ranges) on the device.
- Does not use analytics or advertising SDKs, does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not access your contacts, photos, location or microphone.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Data is shared only with processors we need to run the service (hosting in the EU, email delivery) and with third-party services a company chooses to connect, such as Zoho Books, under that company's own agreement with the provider.
Retention and your rights
Company data is retained for as long as the company uses the service and for the period required by Maltese tax and accounting law afterwards. Under the GDPR you may ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or object to its processing, by contacting the company that holds your data or us at the address above. You can also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta.
